I'm headed to England on Sunday to visit my Sister, and there will be cooking involved, natch. There also *might* be a kitchen witch video!

Greetings from Istanbul!

It is so nice to be back in Turkey after almost a year. I am happy living in the U.S., but this is like my second home. Sure, my language abilities are virtually nonexistent, but I understand some things and I understand the culture. AND I LOVE the food! Most of it, anyway. So far I've had some of my old favorites and I look forward to trying a new restaurant this weekend. I would take pictures of the food, but of course my camera (my *new* camera) has decided to stop working for whatever reason.

Oh, one downside to being here: Men will not leave me alone. I need to find out how to say "Leave me alone!" in Turkish and wear it as a sign around my neck. Geez.

Off We Go

In about three hours I will be headed for the airport. I'm flying to O'Hare first, and then to London, and finally Istanbul. I'll be there for one week, and then I will go to England to see my lovely Sister Mazikeen. I shall return to the U.S. on the 24, hopefully with pictures and stories to share. Positive travel energies are always welcomed. See you all soon!

I see that I Have a couple of new followers. Welcome! I have been super busy with work and am getting ready to go on vacation, so I haven't updated in a while. Don't worry, though, for I will be back soon with some more of my culinary experiments. I may even have some pictures.

Saturday I'm off to Turkey. Then a week later I will be going to England to see my Sister. I shall return to America on the 24.
