I was awakened by the sun about half an hour ago. Since it was an hour before my alarm was set to go off, I was initially annoyed. Then, I remembered today is the longest day of the year. Woo hoo!
I wish I could tell you about the wonderful ritual I have planned and the meal to go with it, but truth be told, I'll probably just light a small candle, burn some more rose incense, and do a brief meditation/prayer session after work. I'm in the land of NoPagan, which isn't very inspiring. As for food, I've no idea. I'll probably eat one of the Zero bars in the package my mom sent me! *lol* Mmmmm...Zero bar...
Anywho, I hope everyone has a beautiful day. Let me know how you celebrate!

Solstice blessings to you!
I am probably going to light some candles after work (when I get home, I will have been gone for more than 12 hours), make some Oriental lentil soup (was going for chicken Khorma, but not enough time - will have to wait for tomorrow) and try to coax summer out of his lair - I am freezing my bits off!
But it does not matter how big we celebrate - as long as we celebrate.
Happy Solstice! =D
I too will be doing something small & quiet. I'm on the last three of my seven nights on at work, so something more elaborate is kind of out of the question... lolz...
I'm hoping that we start seeing more sun here in Washington, as I'm sick of feeling cold... ^-^
Best wishes & happy, warm, summery thoughts your way on this longest day! *Hugs*
^-^
I spent the day making ice cream with my gran-aunt and some cookies that I gave to my gran-aunt, my mother and my grandmother. Later I am going to light some candles to welcome summer. It was 81 degrees in Ireland today so it looks like summer has arrived!
Happy Solstice!
Happy belated Litha to you! We had a calm Yule time here...
Kisses from Nydia.
