Music for Your Kitchen Witchin'

Working on a protection spell? Heavy metal and hard rock all the way, babies. AC/DC "Stiff Upper Lip" comes to mind.

Love? Atlanta Rhythm Section "So Into You" or Bobby Darin's version of "If I Were a Carpenter".

Working on a loaf of bread for Lammas? "John Barleycorn" is the only song that I can think of.

Other kitchen witch inspiring artists for me include The Beatles, Jethro Tull, Ravi Shankar, Led Zeppelin and Tori Amos.

Let music be part of the magic in your food. Use the energy from the music to help you infuse the food with your intent. Thoughts? Share them with me in the comments! What do you listen to and why do you listen to it?

Any recommendations concerning music and recipes to - uhm, spice up your life? I know, the question speaks for itself, anything spicy will do, but I am looking for some more specific inspiration... (^v^)

Indian food! Garlic, chiles, ginger, maybe a shrimp curry? As for the music, listen to anything that gets you in the mood for love. Start out with something that will make you shake your hips, then move on to something that makes them sway. That's what I would suggest!

I always listen to music when I'm cooking. Lately it's been a lot of Florence and the Machine. Another big favourite of mine is the Elizabeth Town soundtrack (which is strange...each song on it's own? Not my kind of music. As a collection, it just sings to my soul about home cooked meals, family gatherings and drinks on the patio). Another one is the Amelie soundtrack. This is especially true for baking and doing the dishes. Don't know why, it just works.

Woohoo! I love John Barlycorn! =D

Damh the Bard & Jethro Tull rule in my kitchen... ^-^

I'm also rather partial to Faun. Abney Park is nice when I feel like dancing around in the kitchen while I cook, and Emilie Autumn has her place there too.

Sometimes my kitchen feels kinda like Tool or Deftones though... ^-^

And then there's the amighty "shuffle" option, so I get a nice mix of everything. =D
