NaNoWriMo

November is National Novel Writing Month, as many of you know. I always have story ideas floating around in my brain, but nothing that I could turn into a novel. I don't have the patience, discipline, or organizational skills to write a novel. I do, however, have the necessary qualities to write a cookbook. I think. Sooooo, I'm thinking about using November to get part of my cookbook ready.

I don't know how much I'll post here, and I don't know if I'll write every single day (again with the lack of discipline). However, I do plan to try to prepare a recipe a day (not literally prepare in my kitchen, due to time and the fact that I live alone and just don't eat that much), and try to get some of the introduction down.

Anyone else participating in NaNoWriMo?

I will be attempting NaNoWriMo. My muse is MIA has be for the last almost 4 years. I don't seem to have the focus or the discipline to write everyday, so I don't know if I'll make it to 50k words, but I like trying. The way I see it, is any thing write is more than I had before I started.

good to know! i started writing a book about 4 months ago and am still working on getting the first couple chapters finished and putting all of my ideas together. sounds like NaNoWriMo will help light a fire under my butt :)the film Julie and Julia may be good incentive if you're writing a cookbook!

I really hope you decide to participate in NanoWrimo! There's a lot of support and a true feeling of satisfaction when you hit the 50,000 words at the end of November. I'll be there, too! If you search "kikiscauldron" we can be buddies!

I just read about NaNo WriMo over at Witchy Godmother's. I think it's a very tough, but a very good idea. And I think it's great that you're thinking of writing a cookbook! I hope we get to see some of the pages! :)
