Post 350 and still not much to say

I guess I'm just not feeling inspired these days. Usually going to the grocery store is a fun experience for me. It's a chance for me to get creative with all the great fresh ingredients that are available right now, but I just don't feel like cooking for myself. Messing up the kitchen, having to clean it, having to throw out leftovers that I don't get to on time, just don't seem worth it these days. I need to clean the kitchen physically and spiritually, methinks, as well as myself.

What do you do when you're in a funk in the kitchen or somewhere else in life? I could sure use some ideas!

Pick up a new cookbook and arbitrarily work your way through it "Julie and Julia"-style. Methinks inspiration will come. :)

i usually get in one of these kinds of funks about once a month, i'll take a cleansing bath, burn some sage , some incense a few candles and if it's a full moon i'll draw down the moon.

I bake. It helps me with mild cases of depression or lack of inspiration. Bread is my favorite, but really, anything will do.

I think we all go through phases where we just don't have inspiration. That's the time to stick to the simple stuff and let it pass. I agree with Spiritrunner about the smudging, for sure. Hugs and blessings!

I rearrange the furniture in my house when my funk becomes apathy. Sometimes it is one thing and sometimes it is the whole shabang.
I also been known to get a major hair cut dye it a new shade, put on my red shoes and do something completely different. There is usually a internal conversation of WAKE UP SISTER and take care of yourself. I tell myself that I can get happy in the same pants got depressed in. Something has got to change so change I say and do it today.
Much love from Oklahoma - I am baking cookies today and I plan to each most of the batch because I can.

What Mae Anna said about rearranging furniture is a great idea! It gets the energy flowing in the home again, which in turn is a catalyst for getting rid stale thoughts! Pump up the creativity with baking, as its always a comfort- the smell, the process , the outcome! xoxo
