This is being passed around Facebook, and it lists the companies that use Monsanto products. It's a rather extensive list and it really puts things into perspective. It's going to be a hell of a chore avoiding every one of these companies, at least for most of us, but I plan to make a list and take it to the store the next time I go. The problem is, what about store brands? Whatcha think?

I just wrote posted about genetically modified corn, Monsanto and their products over at DWASW. It is really hard to avoid them. I'm making the effort too, and the only advice I can give is: get used to spending a lot more on food. The farmer's market route is usually a good alternative, but it's darn spendy (don't ya know) :P. But if I find I can't afford the stuff outside the store, I tend to stick around the produce section. Way less chance of encountering corn/soy based Monsanto products out there on the edges of the store. Good luck!
I'm pretty fortunate, in that I live close to not one but three different hippy dippy grocery stores that don't carry conventional products.
