Can't get it out of my head

A couple of weeks ago, one of the students from the university where I teach committed suicide. He was only 20. I don't know precisely why he took his life, but I think the pressure of university life had a good bit to do with it. Again, I don't know. I didn't know this young man, but my heart aches for him and for his family and friends. Please, if you can spare a moment, stop to think about how much you, as an individual, mean to the universe in its entirety. To someone, you are the wold. Rest in peace, Erkin Aslanturk. My heart weeps. If only someone could turn back time...if only we could've stretched out our arms to catch you as you fell.

Suicide is always so distressing. If only their pain could have been eased before they took such a step of awful finality.

So sad. I try to keep a silent radar on for signs in people of such depression that may lead to suicide. My feeling is nothing in life can't be altered or overcome to a bearable state. Nothing should ever be so bad as to end ones life. Blessings to him and his family.

It is tragic that a life was ended. However, especially since no one can know precisely WHY he chose to end his life, at least we can give thanks that he is free from the torment and pain that chased him down that final path. And our thoughts and prayers/good wishes/what-have-you can go out to his family and friends, and all others who were touched by this tragedy. Hugs to you, Zedral Z. May your heart heal & find comfort in this time of sadness. *HUGHUGHUG*

Suicide is always so distressing. I'm sorry you and your fellow Universtiy co-workers and students are having to go through this.

But most of all, I'm sorry he felt he had no other way out. :(
